The 29th dynasty was founded by the successors of Amyrtaeus after his death by Nepherites I, who made his capital in the city of Mendes (currently Tel el-ruba in Dakahlia). This Dynasty included a group of weak king, such as Psammuthes, Hakor and Nefaarud II, and left little monuments bearing their names.
